I washed a dirty teddy comport in the washer and it is now all matted. Is at that place a way to get the matts out so that it can be fluffy again? Or is it a loss cause?

Rewash the bear in a warm water bike. Add vinegar (to the max line) to the wash like you would material softener. Have your washer rinse twice.

Try combing while moisture. Dry out on low in the dryer. Brush afterwards dry out.
